Free Tax Help from Volunteers Operating at Greensboro Public Library Locations

Free volunteer tax help for low-income taxpayers and some middle-income taxpayers with very simple returns is being offered by groups at several Greensboro Public Library locations.  Those locations are listed below.

Central Library
AARP Tax-aide Program (for taxpayers of all ages):
9:30 am – 4:30 pm every Tuesday and Thursday from February 3-April 14
and 12 noon – 4:00 pm on the following Fridays: February 13, February 20, and February 27.
No appointment necessary.

VITA at Central:
9:30 am – 12:30 pm every Saturday from February 21-April 4.
No appointment necessary.

Glenwood Branch Library (VITA)
Friday, January 30, 1:30-5:30 pm.
Saturdays of February 7, February 21, March 7, March 21, and April 4  from 9:30-11:30 and every Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 pm.  Spanish language assistance available. 
No appointment necessary.

Kathleen Clay Edwards Family Branch Library (VITA)

4-7 pm every Tuesday and 10 am – 1 pm every Saturday from January 27-April 14
except on Saturday, April 4, and Saturday, April 11.
No appointment necessary.

McGirt-Horton Branch Library (VITA) 
6:30-8:30 pm every Tuesday from February 3-April 7.
By appointment only. Call 373-5810.

Vance Chavis Branch Library (VITA)
6:15-8:30 pm every Thursday from January 29-April 9.
By appointment only. Call 373-5838.
