U.S. Unemployment Rate Rises, But Monthly Job Losses Lowest Since September ’08

This is just a brief post noting that more good news came in on the economic front today as the Labor Department reported job losses declined substantially last month to 345,000.  Though the unemployment rate now stands at 9.4%, the highest since 1983, the monthly job loss data is taken as further evidence that the recession has peaked.
